Our client is looking for an experienced team leader to join their team in Redditch. You will be working in a three bed EBD (Emotional Behavioural Disorder) home. The ideal candidate will have a relevant residential childcare qualification to a level 3 or 4 minimum. 
You will work under the supervision of the Registered Manager to deliver safe and efficient care to Residents. You will also help to provide flexible support services within the home as needed. 
 
As the new Care Home Team Leader, you will: 
Attend and participate in planning meetings regarding the admission of new residents. 
Review and become familiar with placement plans and care plans for the resident. 
Assist children, where necessary, with their individually defined routines of daily living. 
Assist with the preparation and delivery of individual and group-related leisure and educational activities. 
Provide transport when needed to residents. 
Perform cooking and cleaning task around the home. 
Act as a key worker for nominated residents. 
Participate in case reviews and meetings with social services. 
Reporting any complaints, accidents, problems or untoward occurrences to a competent person 
Participation in ongoing staff training, including NVQ in care, Client Care, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, etc 
 
Requirements for the new Care Home Team Leader: 
At least 1 years’ experience working with children/young people in a similar setting, and with other care professionals. 
Already have a Level 3 or the Commitment to undertaking QCF Level 3 – “Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce”. 
A Full Driving License is required 
Good written/verbal communication skills 
Training/certificate in: First Aid, Food Hygiene, Fire safety, Child protection and behaviour management. 
Must be at Least 21 years of age – to be 4 years’ older than the oldest child in the home. 
Must be interested in the care and welfare of others. 
Able to handle difficult situations with empathy and consideration. 
Able to retain confidential information 
Able to develop close but professional relationships. 
 
About this role: 
£14 per hour. 
155 working hours per month. 
Expected sleep ins would be 6-8 per month but flexibility would be required with this. 
£60 per sleep in
