Our client who are based in Netherfield, Nottinghamshire, are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join their team. 
 
As the new Health & Safety Office you will be responsible for ensuring the workplace adheres to legal standards and policies. 
 
Your responsibilities as the new Health & Safety Officer: 
Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies and procedures in compliance with legislative requirements and industry best practices. 
Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of safety procedures. 
Conduct regular workplace risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures to reduce risks. 
Review risk assessments for different departments and activities, ensuring appropriate safety protocols are followed. 
Ability to write clear reports, policies, and recommendations. 
 
Your skills and requirements as the new Health & Safety Officer: 
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures. 
Familiarity with incident reporting and investigation procedures. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, guide, and influence staff at all levels. 
Proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage multiple tasks. 
High attention to detail when conducting audits, inspections, and reviewing safety processes 
Strong organisational and time-management skills. 
Experience in risk assessment, safety audits, and compliance management. 
Minimum [2-5] years of experience in a similar role. 
 
Qualifications: 
Educational Background: 
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field. 
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) maybe required. 
IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) membership or other relevant professional body certification preferred. 
 
About the role: 
Monday – Friday 8:30am -17:00pm (With 1 hour lunch break) 
Salary depending on experience.
