Our client is a market-leading business specialising in UK recycling based in Heanor, Derbyshire. You will be expected to work continental shift patterns. 
• Demonstrate a responsible approach to safety and the secure operation of machinery. 
• Identify and report any machine defects/problems to the Team Leader/Production Manager or Engineer. 
• Operate and carry out first line maintenance on bag making machinery. 
• Monitor quality of the product being produced on the line and carry out adjustments to maintain agreed tolerances. 
• Respond quickly and efficiently to overcome faults with the product to minimise scrap levels and increase productivity. 
• Carry out and accurately record quality checks and information on the Operator Daily Report/Quality Test Report paperwork. 
• Run machinery and any ancillary equipment and place finished goods onto pallets at high frequency, repetitively over long periods. 
• Operate all machinery to achieve maximum efficiencies and targets. 
• Be open to all training offered and identify areas for personal development. 
• Advise the Supervisor of any machine difficulties you may be having and learn from the actions taken in case of recurrence. 
• Attend team meetings. 
• To comply with the company Health & Safety Policy 
• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment. 
• The ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised. 
• Must be physically fit. 
• Continental shifts (2 days/2 nights, then 4 off, repeat) 
6:00am – 6:00pm / 6:00pm – 6:00am
