On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Registered Care Home Manager in Burton. 
 
As the new Registered Manager, you will: 
 
Co-ordinate the general duties of the residential and other staff in the home. 
Ensure staff rotas are correct and adequately covers the home. 
All admin procedures, maintenance schedules, identified childcare practices and other procedures and reports are completed in accordance with the organisation’s current instruction. 
Manage the finances of the home. 
Ensure the Placement/Care plans developed for young people in the home are inclusive of goals, objectives and methods that will enable their physical, emotional and social well-being to be cared for. 
Monitor Care/placement plans/educational and development plans with young people in the home. 
Ensure compliance with all current statutory and company duties, procedures and guidelines. 
Liaise with other managers regarding welfare, appraisal, development, training, supervision and disciplinary procedures. 
Manage the homes Formal Supervision and Appraisal System. 
Ensure house rules are up to date. 
Ensure each young person has a key worker and is seen regularly. 
To contribute to and support an agreed Care Plan. 
To be flexible within reason, to ensure staff cover. 
Ensure the physical standard of the property is maintained to a high level. 
 
 
 
Requirements for the new Registered Manager: 
 
Previous experience of working with Children/Young people in a similar setting, with other care professionals and partnering agencies. 
Must have a Level 5 Diploma or NVQ in either of the following: 
Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare 
Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services with Advanced Practice Pathway 
Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services with Children and Young People’s Residential Management Pathway – equivalent to NVQ Level 4 Leadership and Management for Care Services. 
 
About the role: 
 
Salary for the role is between £40,000 - £50,000 per year. 
The role would be for 37.5 hours per week. 
Must be flexible with hours to ensure the smooth running of operations at the home. 
You will enter this role as a Home Manager first. Once an Ofsted ‘Fit Persons’ assessment has been completed with our client, you will have your title changed to Registered Manager.
