Recruit 2 You are recruiting for a Senior Commercial Account Handler to join our client’s team based in Mansfield. 
 
This role has responsibility for generating revenue and developing the profitability of the business whilst ensuring full FCA compliance in all aspects of commercial insurance. 
 
Key Responsibilities as the new Senior Account Handler: 
 
· Administer various aspects of insurance operations, including new business, renewals, adjustments, claims, queries, premium financing, and cover note issuance. 
· Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company policies, handling complaints according to established procedures. 
· Conduct learning, training, and assessment exercises as per individual Training & Competence (T&C) scheme, identifying areas for personal development. 
· Uphold a high level of customer service, providing expert product advice, and fostering professional relationships with clients. 
· Actively pursue renewal business and promote in-house premium financing options. 
· Support Account Executives as needed in their duties. 
· Monitor and achieve Key Performance Indicators in compliance with FCA regulations. 
· Stay informed about and adhere to company's Guides to Best Practice, ensuring compliance in various areas such as commercial and consumer business, consumer credit, complaints, and more. 
· Take responsibility for meeting reporting requirements of the FCA and perform regular file and sales audits for compliance. 
· Develop and maintain effective relationships with insurers and underwriters for the benefit of the company and clients. 
· Ensure the security of personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act and company policies. 
· Prioritise and action client communication in a timely manner, following company procedures. 
· Maintain computer and paper files in compliance with company standards and FCA regulations. 
· Follow health and safety guidelines, keeping the office clear and presentable. 
· Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by the line manager. 
 
Knowledge/Experience: 
 
· Working knowledge of commercial insurance products. 
· Experience as an Account Handler in a similar broking environment. 
· Experience working to high standards of FCA compliance. 
Skills/Ability: 
· Attention to detail. 
· Confident communication skills. 
· Ability to build strong relationships with clients and insurers. 
· Proficient in IT skills, including the use of insurance IT systems (e.g., Acturis, Open GI) and Microsoft products. 
· Organisational skills. 
 
Qualification/Education/Training 
 
· Willingness to work towards Dip CII. 
· Desired: Dip CII qualified. 
Other Requirements: 
· Satisfy all pre-employment checks, including criminal records and credit checks. 
· Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) records. 
 
About the role:

· £32,000 (Salary dependent upon experience)
