Our client is hiring for a Technical Support Engineer based in Northampton. 
Salary: £35,000 -£40,000 
As the new Technical Support Engineer you will: 
First-line support for internal and external IT support solutions 
Remote diagnostics & client / colleague support 
Pre-sale tech vetting 
Product testing & evaluation 
Commissioning of systems (remote and field-based) 
Undertaking corrective site visits 
Hardware & returns testing 
Internal infrastructure planning to support future business expansion 
Your experience and skills as the new Technical Support Engineer: 
3+ years of experience in technical support or engineering role, preferably in the field of security systems or industrial automation. 
Strong understanding of electronic systems, network infrastructure, and software applications. 
Experience of perimeter protection systems, CCTV, access control, or related security technologies is highly desirable. 
Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, with excellent problem-solving skills. 
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support…and getting things right, first time. 
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
Willingness to travel to customer sites for on-site service, support and installations, and flexibility to work out of hours / stay away from home if required.
