Our Ilkeston client, a 3rd generation family run business is looking for a Wet Paint Sprayer to join their team!
Your responsibilities as the new Wet Paint Sprayer:
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers or sealers to ensure proper adhesion of the paint.
Mix paint to the correct consistency and colour, ensuring that it meets specified requirements and quality standards.
Set up and adjust spray guns and other painting equipment to achieve the desired paint application and finish.
Apply wet paint coatings to surfaces using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes.
Inspect painted surfaces for defects, or other imperfections. Make necessary adjustments to the application process to meet quality standards.
Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the proper disposal of paint-related materials.
Coordinate with other team members and departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to paint application, waste disposal, and emissions.
Requirements as the new Wet Paint Sprayer:
Must be familiar with 2 pack paint systems and able to read industrial drawings for masking and other component preparation.
Excellent team skills, capable of following directions and working independently when necessary.
Must be able to lift up to 20Kg parts on occasion.
Forklift driving license is preferable, but not necessary.
Additional powder coating or shot blasting experience would be useful but not vital.
About the role:
39 Hours per week. 7:40-4:25 Monday to Thursday and 7:30-1:30pm on Friday.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £11.50 -£12.00 salary is negotiable depending on experience.
