Are you skilled in assembling light fabrics and materials using sewing and stapling techniques? Do you have previous supervisory experience within a production or manufacturing environment and are you looking for an opportunity to develop your career?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Assembly Operative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong production background who is looking to progress into a Supervisor position.
You will initially work within our clients assembly department, gaining a full understanding of our products, processes, and quality standards. With your existing supervisory experience and successful completion of your training period, you will have the opportunity to progress into a supervisory role.
What You’ll Do:
Cutting and assembling fabrics using templates.
Sewing and stapling industrial textile materials to produce finished products.
Using hand tools to cut and assemble products.
Applying industrial adhesives accurately and safely.
Operating an industrial sewing machine (experience essential).
Maintaining excellent attention to detail to ensure product quality.
Working towards production targets while maintaining high standards.
Learning company procedures, processes, and production requirements.
What We Are Looking For:
Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment.
Industrial sewing machine experience (essential).
Experience working with fabrics, textiles, or light materials.
Previous supervisory or team leader experience (essential).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and organisational skills.
The ability to lead by example and support team members.
A proactive attitude with the ambition to progress into a Supervisor role.
About this role:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Friday: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
Optional overtime available, paid at time and a half, providing an opportunity to increase your earnings.
Permanent position with long-term career prospects.
Starting pay rate of £12.71 per hour
Pay rate increases to £13.35 per hour following a successful 3-month review period.s
