I embarked on my recruitment career with a national training provider within the Apprenticeship sector, quickly making strides to become a National Account Manager for market leaders in the estate agency sector. Seeking new challenges, I joined a small recruitment company in Derby in 2016, where I played a pivotal role in successfully establishing a sister branch. Recognising my ability to drive growth, I was approached to open another branch to further expand the company's reach. In 2018, I finally realised my lifelong entrepreneurial aspirations and leveraged my sector knowledge and experience to launch Recruit 2 You. Based in Heanor, we cater to clients across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, providing comprehensive recruitment solutions for both temporary and permanent vacancies across all industries. With a hands-on approach, I actively collaborate with my team in candidate sourcing, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of service for our valued clients. I have been an integral part of Recruit 2 You since its inception in 2018, now assuming the role of Operations Director. I've played a pivotal role in shaping our operational framework and steering our strategic direction. My focus lies in ensuring the seamless execution of our business strategy while setting ambitious goals in collaboration with senior leadership. My dedication to my job is unwavering, and I derive immense satisfaction with working closely with both clients and candidates to ensure optimal matches for temporary assignments and permanent positions. Day in and day out, I tackle a diverse array of responsibilities, from managing office operations to fostering strong client and candidate relationships. Whether it's coordinating site inductions, conducting interviews, or mentoring new team members, I thrive on the dynamic nature of my role. The management of our weekly payroll and generation of regular reports to monitor the working performance for clients are also within my purview. My journey in the recruitment field began as an Administrator, where I honed my skills and deepened my passion for the industry. This experience provided invaluable insights in the industry and fuelled my desire to build something from scratch when my Auntie Anita approached me about this venture at Recruit 2 You. Joining Recruit 2 You allowed me to leverage my expertise and drive results from the ground up. My commitment to excellence was recognised when I graduated with a Level 3 Business Administration NVQ and subsequently won the "Apprentice of the Year" award at the Derbyshire Times Business Awards; this served as a significant boost to both my career and self-confidence. When Jenna and Anita are absent, I assume responsibility for leading the team, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining exceptional client service. I specialize in managing a diverse range of clients within our local vicinity, assisting them with additional staffing during peak periods and supporting their business growth objectives. Collaboration is a cornerstone of our team, and we all actively support and assist each other as needed. The nature of our work means that every day in our office brings new challenges and shifting priorities as we strive to meet the evolving demands of our clients and customers. My responsibilities encompass various tasks, including advertising and promoting available roles, conducting candidate screening, interviews, and reference checks, as well as providing essential information and guidance to enable successful placements. Additionally, I am responsible for processing weekly timesheets and payroll, ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations. To continually expand our reach and foster new connections, I actively engage in networking efforts, both to acquire new clients and maintain strong relationships with our existing client base. My journey with Recruit 2 You began in 2019, and despite having no prior experience in recruitment, I embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly. After completing my A-levels, I discovered that university was not the right path for me. Seeking stability and exploring various career options, I consulted with a close relative who worked in recruitment, and it sparked my interest. I proudly support Manchester United and frequently travel to watch their home games. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoy attending concerts. I joined Recruit2You in November 2023 with no recruitment experience. After finishing college, I realised that I didn’t want to pursue university as it wasn’t the right path for me. Instead, I wanted a more hands on approach to learning that only an apprenticeship could offer. As an Associate Recruiter, I play a key role in identifying, engaging, and placing top candidates within client organisations. Working closely with senior recruiters and hiring managers, my role includes, sourcing candidates, screening applications, and coordinating the recruitment process to ensure a seamless experience for both clients and job seekers. I am currently studying to achieve my Level 3 in Business Administration. This qualification will help me develop an understanding of and build skills in a wide range of administrative activities, while also allowing me to gain in-person experience in the role.
