Hello! We are the Recruit 2 You Team...

Anita Jackson Managing Director

My recruitment career began in 2012 with a national training provider within the Apprenticeship sector, I quickly progressed to become National Account Manager for market leaders in the estate agency sector. In 2016 I joined a small recruitment company in Derby and was instrumental in opening a successful sister branch for the organisation, following its success I was approached to open a further branch to continue the company growth. In 2018 decided the time was right to start my own venture and have taken my sector knowledge and experience to start up Recruit 2 You, based in Heanor, Derbyshire.
I have always been entrepreneurial and had ambitions to work for myself, so this was always my dream.

Day to day I am very “hands on” I work closely with the team to source candidates for temporary and permanent vacancies across all sectors. We always start the day with a group meeting and a coffee! This helps to set the tone for the day and ensure that we are all focused on what needs to be achieved.
We are not like a typical recruitment office, we don’t have individual ownership of clients, we all work together to ensure every client we are working with is met with the highest standards of service possible.

I love my job and I love coming to work- as a typical Libra, I am people pleaser and so I always go above and beyond what is expected to get a result and there is no better feeling than the feeling you get of making a difference to someone life when they get taken on permanently through a temporary assignment or getting to give the news of a job offer after a series of interviews, it really is the best feeling!

Outside of the office I will always be spending time with my husband and 3 boys, we have recently moved to a new house and have a long-term project to work on, renovating a bungalow in Smalley.

Long term plans are to grow the business and to open further offices in the area, my team are equally ambitious, and I want to encourage their dreams of progression to more senior and management positions.

Within my role as a Recruitment Consultant; I use sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking to attract business from client companies. A few of my duties include working closely with the Resourcing Specialist to maintain an updated list of available workers and to inform the Resourcing Specialist if any temporary workers are absent to avoid future errors when it comes to payroll. Also, I am capable of arranging and attending site inductions on temporary contracts to ensure all our staff are happy within their role, which allows me to build and develop positive relationships with not only candidates, but also clients.

Background and experience...

I joined the business in May 2018, after having worked at a previous Recruitment agency for 10 months doing Administration. I have recently completed my Level 3 Business Administration NVQ, and graduated from my college. From this, I was shortlisted to the final three apprentices to win the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ for the Derbyshire Times Business Awards – which I successfully won!! Before I started working in recruitment, I was studying at Sixth Form, however I didn’t feel like University was for me, so I got an offer at my past employment to do work experience there for a week. Before the period propped up to do work experience, I went for a few interviews there and eventually gained a permanent placement. As I developed in my previous role, I knew that I wanted to spread my wings and work elsewhere … that is when Recruit 2 You approached me to be the individual who is responsible for attracting candidates for jobs, and matching them to temporary or permanent positions with client companies. As soon as I started working at Recruit 2 You Ltd in Heanor, I knew from this point onwards that my exciting journey of recruitment would progress a lot further!

Outside of the office...

On the weekends, I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family – and going for a Nando’s makes the weekend even better! I also love to visit new places in and around Derbyshire, and going shopping is a bad habit of mine, especially when it’s for a special occasion …

I joined Recruit 2 You in May 2018 when it was first established, as a Resourcing Specialist. I progressed in my role so much in the first 6 months, which quickly gained myself a promotion into a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. I help with all the background work that helps the team. My responsibilities include: helping the Recruitment Consultants source the perfect candidates, dealing with enquiries over the phone, calling clients to gain business and helping place candidates into work. I love the thrill of knowing I can find roles for people who are looking for work and help them have a long and successful career.

I have kept my Payroll duties as this is my favourite!

Background and experience...

I am nearly coming up to 1 year in Recruitment. Beforehand, I went into Hairdressing and finished my Level 2 Qualification, I was partly through my Level 3 and that helped me make up my mind that it wasn’t for me anymore. I am now in a really good position within the company and I can’t wait for many more experience and memories to come!

Outside of the office...

I love to watch Netflix in my spare time – watching all sort of different documentaries (Luther is my favourite)!

On a Friday after work, the team and I go out to the local micro pub for a little bit of team bonding!

Being a Resourcing Administrator I support the team ensuring they can perform to their best ability. As well as coming up with ideas that can help the business progress. This also gives me great opportunities to learn from them as I work very closely with the consultants. Day to day I make sure the office is running smoothly, that could be dealing with general enquires to making application calls / registering candidates / keeping the office presentable. I also get to speak to clients and help them along with their journey to find a job to do this I use my personality to help me within my role. This is beneficial when creating relationships with the clients.

Background/experience…

I have no real experience in recruitment, but I am ambitious and keen to learn about the consultant role and succeed. During my last year at school I worked at costa coffee whilst studding for my GCSE’s. I carried on working at costa after I left school, in September 2017 I joined sixth form for a year, and studied A-levels however after the first year I didn’t feel like sixth form and university was for me, but after speaking to a relative of mine about recruitment I felt like this was the perfect career for me. So, I left costa coffee to search for a starting point in recruitment. Then I saw the advertisement for business administration level 2 from Recruit 2 You. I was accepted for an interview and gave it my all to try to get the role. I have now been accepted for the position and I am very grateful for it. And this is where my career starts, I am going to work hard to not only complete my apprentice but also succeed and progress in the future.

Outside the office…

In my spare time I enjoy socialising with my friends and family. Also, I enjoy playing/watching football.

On a Friday I usually go to the local driving range to play golf.
