About this position: 
We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of our client’s thermoforming lines and extrusion equipment. This role involves a blend of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and critical repairs, essential for supporting production goals. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 
Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to maintain peak machinery performance. 
Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. 
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and boost productivity. 
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment. 
Keep precise maintenance records and documentation. 
 
Qualifications: 
 
Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds). 
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally in thermoforming or plastics. 
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. 
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
