Our client who specialises in manufacturing a variety of packaging equipment for medical devices are looking for a CNC Turner to join their team based in Derby.
Your responsibilities as the new CNC Turner:
To ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.
To set, operate and maintain a CNC turning machine complying with safe operations.
Keep the machine and surrounding area clean and tidy complying with Health & Safety standards.
Offer creative and practical solutions to both technical and logistical problems.
Resolve any machinery issues, escalating to the relevant department as required to minimise unplanned downtime.
To always follow and adhere to the Company’s hygiene and quality standards (GMP).
To comply with legal requirements in respect of Health and Safety of self and others.
To identify all training needs and ensure adequate training and development is carried out with self.
To demonstrate good employee relations within the team and to other departments.
Agree personal appraisal targets with Supervisor/Manager.
Work towards the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing techniques in line with Company objectives to support the continuous improvement of the Company.
To carry out any other relevant tasks as may be required by circumstances or are requested by the Company.
Your requirements as the new CNC Turner:
A basic level of numeracy and literature at GCSE level or equivalent
A time served Apprenticeship in Engineering or HNC / HND or equivalent
IT skills to encompass Microsoft and FileMaker
Excellent organisational, time keeping and communications skills
Have a strong eye for detail with the ability to identify faults and provide solutions
Able to work as part of a team and off own initiative
The ability to follow instructions and prioritise workload productively to meet deadlines Have a positive attitude with adaptability to support the business requirements.
About the role:
Monday – Friday
£14 per hour (would be negotiable for the right candidate)
25 days holidays plus BH
