Recruit 2 You Ltd are working in partnership with a leading plastics recycling company based in Heanor, and we are seeking experienced and dedicated Counterbalance FLT Drivers to join their dynamic team. Our client is a global manufacturing company known for their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. As a Counterbalance FLT Driver, your primary responsibility will be operating a forklift truck to transport materials within the warehouse and assist in the production process. The role demands previous experience in operating a Counterbalance FLT and the ability to adapt to a busy manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials and products within the warehouse.
To work with the production team when required (machine operating)
Assist with loading and unloading materials from vehicles and storage areas.
Ensure the safe and efficient storage of materials.
Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence is mandatory.
Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift.
Comfortable working in a noisy manufacturing environment.
Ability to work in a clean and well-organized facility.
Flexibility to work 4 on 4 off shifts, including 12-hour days and nights.
Willingness to work overtime on days off.
Working Hours:
Your working hours will be 4 on 4 off – consisting of 2 x 06:00 – 18:00, then 2 x 18:00 – 06:00. 42 hours paid. You will be given a 90-minute unpaid break per shift. Overtime is available on your days off. Previous experience working continental shifts and working 12-hour nights are also essential for this job role.
Pay Rate:
Standard hourly rate: £12.30 per hour.
Overtime rate: £17.93 per hour.
