Our client require a Qualified Accounting Professional as Head of Finance to join their team, where you will undertake a challenging and varied position based at their company Head Office in Derby. 
 
As the new Head of Finance you will be reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee and develop a small finance team and will be responsible for all day-to-day financial management including all internal and external reporting. 
 
Your responsibilities as the new Head of Finance: 
 
Monthly management accounts preparation for review by the Senior Management with responsibility for the month end accounting, general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, compliance, and stock management 
Control of working capital, cash-flow and managing bank relationships 
To support the MD and the company in the budgetary planning and forecasting processes including preparation of the annual budget and updated forecasts 
Monthly flash and setting/reporting KPI’s 
Oversee the annual audit and tax computation preparation, including liaison with the auditors. 
To develop and lead the evolution of the Company's financial reporting processes, including ownership and development of the costing and business management systems. 
To ensure that the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation. 
To demonstrate and support the team with their understanding of international trade, including the interaction with duty and customs issues. 
Liaison with external bodies – HMRC, Insurers, auditors banking and investors 
Strong stakeholder management capabilities at all levels 
 
The successful candidate will have: 
 
ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified with at least 10 years PQE. 
Analytical with excellent leadership capabilities 
Strong manufacturing exposure with a detailed knowledge of costing and estimating systems (BOM, processes routings) and lean manufacturing techniques. 
You will have previously worked as the Head of Finance/Financial Controller within a manufacturing SME environment and be capable of making sound Financial Decisions. 
A strong relationship builder you will act as Financial Business partner and ensure an increased awareness of the financial implications of high-level decision making. 
IT literate with advance Excel skill 
Experience in International growth.
