Our client who are based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire are seeking a talented Project Manager to join their SME company which boasts approximately 35 employees, as they focus on delivering mission-critical control and communication systems to a diverse range of industries. 
 
Your responsibilities as the new Project Manager: 
 
Collaborate with directors and clients to thoroughly understand project requirements, delivery timelines, and budget constraints. 
Lead projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget, meeting high-quality standards, and adhering to scheduled timelines. 
Develop comprehensive project plans that serve as roadmaps for clients and project teams, ensuring clarity and alignment on project objectives. 
Continuously revise and update project plans to accommodate evolving needs and requirements, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to changes. 
Compile and submit regular project status reports to clients and senior management, providing transparency and accountability. 
Assign project tasks based on team members' strengths, skills, and experience, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. 
Support the growth of your team by identifying training needs and providing effective advice and coaching when necessary, ensuring their continued success and development. 
You will be responsible for up to 10 engineers, technical manager, and assistant manager. 
 
The successful candidate will have: 
 
A minimum of 3 years project management experience. 
Strong technical knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies 
Experience in completing project documentation including financial reports. 
Experience managing several projects simultaneously. 
An open and honest leadership style. 
Ability to develop professional and effective working relationships with team members, 
suppliers, and clients. 
Ability to engage, motivate and influence others. 
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and communication skills (both 
written and verbal). 
 
About the role: 
 
Monday – Friday (Full time, Permanent) 
£50,000 Per Annum but would be negotiable for the right candidate with industry experience 
Full UK Driving License 
Educated to degree level in a relevant field or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
